Comilog Electrolytic Manganese and Silicomanganese Project, Gabon
Structural Type: Frame structure
Project Location: Moanda, Republic of Gabon
Project Overview: The project comprises 26 individual units, including facilities for reduction roasting, electrolysis, leaching and refining, silicomanganese production, and an electrolytic manganese product warehouse. The company’s scope included detailed design, fabrication, packaging, and domestic transport to the port, as well as dispatching professional technical personnel to provide installation guidance. The project demanded high fabrication precision and involved complex processes; the cargo underwent seven loading and unloading operations during transit from the factory to the site. Steel structures were bundled, while purlins and bracing members were packed in frames or crates. Component surfaces are coated with an epoxy zinc-rich primer, an epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat, and a chlorinated rubber topcoat; the project involves a total steel tonnage of over 6,700 tons.
